Description

This is a handsome antique silver plated biscuit box. Standing on a round tray that is bead mounted to the edge. The tray is engraved with triangles of dots. The cylindrical body is embossed with various sizes of acanthus leaves to the bottom half. The upper is embossed with swags of leaves and flowers with ribbons and bows. Female heads are also applied at intervals. The lid is bead mounted with acanthus leaves. A proud pineapple finial is on top. This has been resilvered. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Martin Hall & Company stamped underneath.
