Magnificent Antique English Sterling Silver Card Case - Stag

Description

This splendid Edwardian visiting card case is beautifully decorated with a plethora of embossed or repousse work surrounding the prized mountain scene of a Stag and it's young within a Scottish Highland scene, quite charming and highly collectible.

The reverse has a large shaped cartouche, engraved with a decorative monogram, A J.

The silver is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1902, so 109 years old, early Edwardian in era. The makers initials are also present C & N for the silversmith, Crisford & Norris.

Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 2 3/4".
