Very Heavy 224g Sterling Silver Bird Handled Quaich Bowl 1929 Antique Mint

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful heavy antique solid sterling silver quaich cup or two handled bowl. It is hallmarked for London 1929 with the makers marks being that of Reid and Sons of Newcastle. It has been superbly designed with the handles being in the form of birds (possibly a Roman replica or Roman influenced?). It is in superb condition having no dings splits or repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (17.6cm) across including the handles and 4.5 inches (11.6cms) excluding them by 2 inches (4.8cms) tall and weighs an impressive 224 grams. A stunning example.
