Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
This silver tray would make a very fine centrepiece for a hall or dining table or a wonderful wedding gift. Hallmarks show the lion passant for sterling and makers marks for London 1857, with makers marks for Edward and John Barnard. The tray is in very good antique condition, with just a few surface marks, commensurate with age, and some wear to the tips of two feet.
All weights and measurements are approximate.
