English Antique Sterling Silver Mother of Pearl Potpourri Lavender Bowl Pot 1907

Description

A beautiful English antique solid sterling silver Art Nouveau bowl, most likely to hold potpourri, rose petals or lavender. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1907 with the maker’s marks being that of Arthur Joseph Mason. It has been beautifully made having a mother of pearl bowl and sterling silver swing handle and hinged divisions. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4 inches (10.2cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.8cm) wide 3.75 inches (9.5cm) tall to the top of the handle and weighs 76 grams. A beautifully designed piece.

Declaration

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
