Description

A delightful pair of unusual novelty shaped Jam spoons, perfect for all sorts of serving tasks today. Shaped to resemble a pair of shovels, they are beautifully engraved and the tactile handles beautifully cast around the edges.

The backs are marked L W & S for George Shadford Lee and Henry Wigfull, each also has the British design registration number of 225792 which dates them to 1894, so Victorian in era.

They come complete with their luxurious original presentation case lined in blue silk and velvet, printed " John Byrne & Son Ltd / Diamond Merchants / 10, Bold St. Liverpool & 83 Hatton Garden, London".

Excellent condition with minimal wear, measuring 4 1/2" in length with the box measuring 6" x 3 1/2".
