H and R Daniel was a prominent English porcelain manufacturer operating in Stoke-on-Trent during the early 19th century, renowned for producing high-quality tea and dessert services with intricate hand-painted decoration.

These items were typically crafted from fine bone china or soft-paste porcelain, shaped using moulds, and hand-painted with enamel colours and gilded accents before undergoing multiple kiln firings.

Authentic pieces often feature distinctive body shapes, characteristic pattern numbers painted in red or gilt on the base, and high-quality enamel work consistent with Regency and early Victorian manufacturing standards.

Antique plates can be mounted on walls as part of a curated gallery display, placed in glass-fronted cabinets, or showcased on plate stands within traditional or eclectic living spaces.

Antique porcelain should always be washed gently by hand using mild detergent and warm water, avoiding dishwashers, abrasive sponges, and prolonged soaking to protect the delicate hand-painted glazes and gilt edges.
