Campana, Medici, and Borghese vases originate from ancient Roman marble excavations discovered during the Renaissance and later popularised during the 18th and 19th-century Grand Tour travels across Europe.

These decorative objects were typically produced using the lost-wax casting method (cire perdue) or sand-casting, finished with patination and mounted on marble or stone plinths.

Authentic period pieces exhibit consistent patination, fine channelling and relief work, handcrafted assembly marks, and natural wear patterns on both the bronze and underlying plinths.

Pair these architectural pieces with classic millwork, dark timber furniture, or marble surfaces to create a balanced focal point on mantelpieces, sideboards, or entry consoles.

Maintain the surface by dusting gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; avoid chemical cleaners, polishes, or water to protect the original historical patina.
