Burmese Elephant Bronze

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautifully executed small Burmese bronze of a working elephant with mahout on original stand.

Circa 1920 and made in Pegu these bronzes were bought by British administrators as gifts or souvenirs.

Excellent condition although the mahout has lost his stick.

Unsigned, but probably by Maung San Wa.

Now available from our large showroom in Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Delivery included to mainland UK addresses.
