Circa 1880.The three medallions are surrounded by a field with a large scale herati design on a madder red ground, the upper and lower medallions are in a clear mid indigo blue. The traditional borders frame the rug well. The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and good pile. There is some corrosion to the dark browns, especially in the central medallion.The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
