Antique Shahsavan or South Caucasian kilim of outstanding soft colour and traditional banded design.
 
Circa 1900.
 
A very good example of type, with a banded design and large hooked medallions, the colour palette throughout is superb and gives the kilim a light feel. The kilim has bands of weft work decoration and the original decorative end finishes.
 
The kilim is in excellent condition with very slight wear, there are a few scattered old re-weaves.
 
The kilim is suitable for normal domestic use.
 
The kilim has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
