George II Mahogany Bureau

Description

Really super quality and beautifully made George II period mahogany bureau, circa 1740 and in good condition.

Fabulous consistent colour throughout the bureau and when opened, you have this spectacular serpentine interior of drawers, pigeon holes and also a very clever hidden compartment. There is a large working area when open, plenty of room for laptop working space!

Below, there are four full width oak lined drawers which are all running smoothly and have a wonderful set of original brass pierced backplate handles.

Great decor piece but also practical for working use too.

40 1/2 inches or 103 cm high

37 inches or 94 cm wide

20 3/4 inches or 53 cm deep

29 3/4 inches or 75.5 cm from the floor to underside of the writing area
