Antique Baluch Saddle Bag Face with Snowflake Design, Circa 1900.

Description

Size: 2ft 7in x 2ft 2in (80 x 65cm).

Antique Baluch saddle bag face with 'snowflake' design.

Circa 1900.

The saddle bag is of well known 'snowflake' design. The bag face has superb soft glossy wool and a very floppy handle. The bag face retains the original lower end finishes with very fine detailed weft work decoration. Note the four small white flowers to the centre of the bag face. The border is of a double bird head design.

The saddle bag face is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
