Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco spelter figures are decorative sculptures produced during the 1920s and 1930s, characteristically depicting stylized human forms, dancers, or athletic figures mounted on stone or onyx bases.

These items were typically cast from spelter, a zinc alloy, which was then gilded, patinated, or cold painted to resemble bronze before being mounted on bases made from onyx, marble, or alabaster.

Spelter is lighter in weight than bronze, non-magnetic, and softer, displaying a grey or white metal surface beneath areas where the outer patination or gilding has worn away.

A figurine of this scale can be positioned on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or desk alongside books and clean-lined decorative objects to provide contrasting texture.

Dust the sculpture regularly with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding water, chemical solvents, or abrasive polishes that could strip the surface gilding or damage the onyx plinth.
