Size: 4ft 1in x 2ft 9in (125 x 85cm).

Antique Central Anatolian Konya region village prayer rug.

Circa 1900/20.

A nice small example of a Konya village prayer rug with a classic design, the rug has a clear red field with indigo blue above the mihrab. The border is well drawn with a simple leaf design.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and good pile. There are a few old repairs that are well blended with the rug. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use or would make a good display item as a wall hanging.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
