Description

-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A good quality solid mahogany George III bureau.

c1770.

Having fluted canted corners, with a drop-front that opens to reveal a quality fitted interior, with an arrangement of three drawers with the original brass dutch drop handles, six pigeon holes above, flanking a central small door. Solid mahogany writing surface.

Over three long graduating drawers, with oak linings, brass swan-neck handles, iron locks, and brass escutcheons.

All the drawers open smoothly and are solid, strong and sturdy.

Standing on bracket feet.

Good even colour to the figured mahogany.

In excellent antique condition, having general signs of use consistent with age.

Solid, sturdy and strong throughout.

The dimensions are taken at highest, widest and deepest points.

Height-101.5cm. Height to the underside of the fall-front-74.7cm.

Width-93cm.

Depth-42cm.
