Hepplewhite Style Inlaid Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

Circa 1850, Hepplewhite style, inlaid mahogany, serpentine fronted chest of drawers. The shaped top in figured mahogany has a boxwood inlaid cross-banded fore-edge and is over 4 inlaid, graduated drawers. These are in flame mahogany and all have their original cast ormolu swan neck handles and foliate design pommels. It has a satinwood inlaid, shaped skirt and stands on its original slim French bracket feet.
