This George III chest on chest dates from the 18th century and is made of warm brown mahogany with boxwood string inlay and brass hardware. The upper section comprises a moulded cornice above a small central frieze drawer flanked by smaller drawers, sitting over three graduated long drawers. The lower section contains four long graduated drawers, and the entire piece stands on bracket feet with swan-neck handles and escutcheons fitted to the drawers. Practical dimensions measure 198 cm high, 114 cm wide, and 56 cm deep.
