A George III Mahogany Channel Islands Chest Of Drawers, Late 18th Century

An interesting and beautifully proportioned chest of drawers. The timber is excellent quality and very dense, (apparently Channel Island cabinet makers often had first choice of imported mahogany before it reached the mainland).
 
The carving is crisp and there are lovely, well considered details throughout.
 
Some surface marks to the top and minor wear elsewhere. The shell handles are old but probably not original. Some ares of cockbeading missing- these can be replaced here if required. Some shrinkage to the chesnut drawer linings.
