Description

Size: 10ft 2in x 7ft 7in (310 x 231cm).
A good Afghan village carpet by Ersari weavers of the Sulayman design.
Circa 1900.
The carpet has three rows of six large guls, on a very rich red ground. The design in the guls is typical of the Sulayman Ersari from the Andkhoy region of Northern Afghanistan.
The carpet is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile. The carpet retains the original short kilim end finishes at both ends.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
