A superb quality Victorian burr walnut chest of drawers, dating from around 1860, crafted from exceptionally well-selected burr walnut veneers that display outstanding colour, movement and natural figuring throughout. The richly figured walnut showcases the cabinetmaker's careful selection of timber, creating a striking and elegant appearance from every angle.

The chest features a practical arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers, all fitted with attractive original fine turned walnut handles. Opening smoothly, the drawers reveal beautifully finished solid mahogany drawer linings, demonstrating the quality of construction and attention to detail associated with high-end Victorian cabinetmaking.
