Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. FAQs

Edwardian Chinoiserie furniture combines classic early twentieth-century forms, such as understated outlines and cabriole legs, with European interpretations of traditional East Asian artistic motifs, including stylized landscapes, pagodas, and flora.

Pieces from this period were commonly constructed using solid hardwoods such as walnut or mahogany, accented with figured veneers, hand-applied paint, lacquer finishes, and cast brass handles.

Authentic period pieces exhibit hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, original silvered mirror plates with subtle foxing, hand-painted artwork with raised textural details, and natural timber ageing on unexposed surfaces.

Incorporate modern, neutral bed linens and plain soft furnishings to balance the detailed decorative surfaces, allowing the painted timber surfaces to serve as focal points without overwhelming the space.

Dust surfaces regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth, avoid applying water or chemical solvents directly to painted detailing, and position the furniture away from direct heat sources and strong sunlight.
