Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Asian bronze metalwork was widely produced for domestic use and export to Europe, where Orientalism influenced Victorian and Edwardian decorative arts.

These pieces were typically created using lost-wax casting or sand casting techniques, followed by hand-chasing to refine intricate relief patterns such as dragons and cloud motifs.

Authentic period pieces display natural surface wear, casting seam variations, dark oxidisation in recessed areas, and weight consistent with solid cast bronze or heavy brass alloys.

Place the urn as a standalone decorative accent on a mantelpiece, console, or shelf to introduce rich texture, metallic warm tones, and historical character to contemporary spaces.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive polishes or harsh chemical cleaners that can strip away the original aged patina and surface oxidisation.
