Description

A finely cast bronze of a Tunisian water carrier, Porteur d’Eau Tunisien, shown in a poised forward‑leaning stance with two traditional vessels suspended from rope slings. His clothing is crisply modelled, the warm patina highlighting the folds and movement. The base carries D. Debut’s plaque, noting his 2ème Prix de Rome distinction. A characterful 19th‑century bronze with strong modelling, rich colour and excellent presence.
