Description

A Set of George III Brass and Steel Fire Tools.

Each with a well detailed brass finial in the form of a radiating flower head, meeting a fluted rim, over the rising and outward spreading supporting leaves. The handles with ring socles, before the long shanks, running to a raised sided shovel, with a well executed scrolling leaf centre, a pair of tongs and a poker.

Date circa 1780.

Height 26 1/2 inches, 69cm.

Width 5 1/4 inches, 13.5cm.

Depth 1 1/2 inches, 4cm.
