Description

This impressive old pine double wardrobe dates to around 1880 and remains in excellent order for a piece of its age. A broad cornice crowns the two panelled doors, with gently shaped sides and bracket feet giving it a handsome, substantial presence. Two strong drawers sit beneath the cupboard and both run freely.

The interior is empty at present, although there are signs it previously held shelving. A new hanging rail will be fitted within the advertised price. For buyers who would like extra storage, we can also add a shelf above the rail for around £40.

Original period details include the left-hand catch and a substantial box lock, supplied with its original key; both are working correctly. The wardrobe dismantles for access, making it suitable for most stairways. We can deliver personally to much of the UK and reassemble it on arrival.

The current-condition price is £1,060. Alternatively, we can fully restore and wax the wardrobe for £1,190.

Measurements: 79½ inches high, 72 inches wide and 25 inches deep, with an internal depth of 20½ inches. Width and depth are the maximum external measurements.
