Large Inlaid Serpentine Sideboard

Item Code: S27-842A

A highly decorative large antique mahogany sideboard of elegant serpentine form, extensively enriched with fine floral and foliate marquetry. The shaped top sits above a central frieze drawer, with a further deep drawer to the left and a cupboard to the right, all displaying elaborate inlaid decoration and fitted with brass lion-mask ring handles.

The sideboard is further embellished with inlaid floral trails to the uprights and shaped apron, while the side panels feature restrained line inlay and central oval paterae. Raised on slender tapering legs with spade feet, the overall design has a particularly refined and well-balanced appearance.
