Art Deco Satin Birch Leather Top Pedestal Desk

Description

A superb Art Deco satin birch leather top pedestal desk, made in England and dating from the 1930’s.

This is of amazing quality, it is beautifully constructed from solid and veneered satin birch. It is very sturdy and well made, there is beautiful joinery with fine, hand cut dovetailed joints on the drawers. There is a black inset leather top with blind tooling in the Greek key design.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.

Depth – 56 cm , 22 inches

Height – 74 cm , 29 inches

Knee height – 59 cm , 23.5 inches

Knee width – 54 cm , 21.5 inches
