Antique Swedish Biedermeier Style Satin Birch Desk

Description

A wonderful antique Swedish Biedermeier style satin birch desk, dating from around the 1900-1910 period.

The quality is superb, this is extremely well built and is beautifully designed. It is finished identically front and back, the front has two locking doors which open to reveal banks of tray shelf drawers.

There is beautiful detail throughout, with absolutely stunning inlaid marquetry on both sides, a grooved top edge and sturdy yet elegant sabre legs. The top is polished, with lovely grain patterns and a gorgeous patina.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a high standard, the condition is outstanding for its age.

Knee height – 27.5 inches , 70 cm
