Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Worcester introduced hand-painted fruit studies in the late nineteenth century, establishing a tradition where individual master artists signed their work. These decorative pieces became prominent examples of British ceramic craftsmanship throughout the early twentieth century.

These items were crafted from bone china, featuring translucent porcelain bodies decorated with hand-applied enamel paints, liquid gold leaf gilding, and raised jewelled beadwork applied prior to final firing.

Authentic examples feature the official Royal Worcester factory mark printed or impressed on the reverse, accompanied by specific date codes. Hand-painted fruit pieces from this era typically display a clear painted signature from recognised factory artists.

Cabinet plates can be displayed on brass stands atop sideboards, arranged within glass-fronted cabinets, or mounted directly onto walls to create structured decorative focal points in dining rooms and living spaces.

Porcelain cabinet plates should be dusted gently with a dry microfibre cloth and washed only by hand in lukewarm water using mild dish soap. Abrasive sponges, chemical solvents, and dishwashers must be avoided to prevent wear to the gilding and surface paint.
