Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the late 18th century, George III bow-front sideboards are characterised by their convex curved front profile, fine mahogany veneers, and functional layout featuring central drawers flanked by deep cupboards or side drawers.

Cabinetmakers primarily utilised solid and veneered mahogany, often incorporating exotic wood crossbanding such as purpleheart, tulipwood, or satinwood, alongside solid oak drawer linings and brass hardware.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-cut dovetail joints, oak or pine secondary drawer timbers, period-correct brass hardware with hand-chased details, and subtle natural age-related timber shrinkage.

Position the piece in an entryway or dining space, pairing its rich mahogany tones with modern abstract artwork, sculptural ceramic accessories, or clean-lined lighting to create a balanced contrast.

Dust regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, keeping the timber positioned away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent drying or split formation.
