The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this 1960s Mechanical Wrist Watch to the 1960s.
The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is a Durowe calibre 1258 which was in production from 1961.
The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated, there is a little rubbing to the lugs but nothing too serious. There is wear to the plate on the back of the watch.

The lens is in lovely condition (some reflection showing in the photos).
The dial is signed Gloriosa, a brand name registered by several companies but we believe this to be from Peter Muenster Kg of Darmstadt, German who registered the Gloriosa name in 1959. As the watch has a German movement, this is the most likely watch assembler… he would have bought the components in, assembled the watch in readiness for wholesale.

The dial is in lovely condition with original hands, centre seconds hand and outer minute markers. The original hands have a little marking.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
