Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal interest porcelain refers to ceramic tableware or decorative items commissioned by, or supplied to, British or foreign monarchies. During the late Victorian and Edwardian eras, major Staffordshire potteries were routinely contracted to produce custom services for overseas royal households.

Pieces were typically crafted from fine translucent porcelain or bone china, featuring multi-stage kiln firings. Decoration often combined printed underglaze borders, hand-applied colored enamels, and burnished gold gilding around the rims and motifs.

Authentic pieces usually bear printed or impressed Cauldon Ltd maker marks on the underside, often alongside pattern numbers or retailer marks. High-quality gilding, uniform glaze application, and precise hand-painted or transfer details further signal genuine manufacture.

Display the plate upright on a brass or acrylic plate stand atop a sideboard or within a glazed display cabinet. Alternatively, group multiple decorative plates together on a wall using wire plate hangers to create an artful gallery installation.

Wash by hand using warm water and a mild dishwashing liquid with a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents, dishwashers, and microwave exposure, as these will wear away the delicate gold leaf gilding and surface enamels over time.
