Description

Early C19th William IV period mahogany framed settee of bold design and scale.

Large mahogany framed scroll-ended settee with carved cornucopia style arms . Having a moulded front rail and side returns , raised on facetted and turned legs fitted with substantial brass cup castors and wheels. The straight back with a conforming moulded rail.

In original ‘as found’ ,countryhouse condition, in need of re-upholstery . The frame in excellent tight condition with no movement, repairs or damage. Minor veneer loss to top of the rear moulded rail back . Retains the original roll cushions .

An impressively proportioned settee in ready to reupholster condition, with the original polished surface and patina to the mahogany frame.
