Description:

Antique English pewter plate of 8.875 inch diameter with scarce incised rim. The front rim bears a very well struck set of hall marks for John Trapp II of Worcester who worked from 1677 - 1707, The reverse has a partial set of touchmarks for John Trapp II.

This plate is of particular interest due to the fine incised lines around the outer rim, this is an unusual and scarce feature.

Condition:

The plate is in excellent condition with a very lightly polished finish to the front, with some small traces of oxide. The reverse is also lightly polished with some light oxide.

Repairs: There are no repairs.

Size: 8.875 inch diameter (22.00cm).

Cotterell: Old Pewter: Its Makers and Marks: OP5977.
