Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A tazza is a shallow, saucer-shaped dish mounted on a short pedestal foot, originating in antiquity and widely produced through the Renaissance and nineteenth century. Historically, these vessels were used for serving fruit or sweets, or purely as decorative table centrepieces.

Victorian decorative tazzas often feature cast or turned bronze, brass, or gilt metal structures. Inset stones commonly include native semi-precious minerals such as banded agate, jasper, and quartz, popularised during the mid-to-late nineteenth century.

Authentic nineteenth-century pieces display hand-engraved detailing, hand-set bezel mounts, and natural variation in the stone cabochons. Wear to the gilded or bronze surface, solder construction lines on the underside, and natural patination in crevices indicate period manufacture.

A bronze tazza can be positioned as a focal accent on a sideboard, coffee table, or library desk. It can be displayed empty to showcase its stone mounts and internal engraving, or used to hold small trinkets.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive chemical polishes or water immersion, as moisture can weaken stone settings and ruin existing metal patination.
