Large Bronze Mortar and Pestle 18th Century

Description

This is a good, very large bronze mortar with its original double sided pestle with knopped handle in very nice original condition dating from the late 18th century circa 1750.

The mortar and pestle are in great order ready for continued use, or display. This is a really good size measuring 15 cms high and 19 cms in diameter with the pestle being 27 cms in length. Overall weight is a substantial 6.74 kgms.

We currently have a smaller mortar and pestle also available and they look great together. (See last photo).

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
