The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, Am W Co grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 7,898,584 which dates it back to 1896. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled, originally warranted to last 25 years, and it is in lovely condition. The original owner’s Victorian initials are to the front of the case.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
