Waltham Seaside pocket watch, 1898.
The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8,897,243 which dates it back to 1898. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 40mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1894 with a sponsor’s mark for Alfred Bedford, Manager of Waltham UK. The case is in good condition, and the engine turned detail on the back of the watch is still nice and crisp.
The glass lens is in good condition.
The signed dial has its original blued steel hands, and it is all in lovely condition.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
