Description

An elegant mahogany ladies writing desk, likely dating from the Edwardian period. The desk is of compact proportions, with a shaped front and fitted with a central drawer flanked by two shorter drawers to either side. It stands on slender tapering legs terminating in castors, giving it a light and refined appearance.

The top features an inset leather writing surface and drawers are fitted with simple turned knobs. Decorative inlaid details are present and features decorative spandrels beneath the drawers. A charming and practical piece, well suited to use as a writing desk, dressing table or occasional table

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition with marks, scratches and wear to the leather inset writing surface consistent with age and use. There is some loss to the shaped bracket beneath the right hand drawer (photographed) but otherwise in good condition. A charming example.
