Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
There is an inset black leather writing surface with blind Greek key tooling around the edges. It is made from burr and figured walnut which have stunning grain patterns, there are lovely details to the edges with inlaid herringbone designs.
This is also beautifully polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.
