Antique Selezi silver pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a Revue stem-winding movement which would have been bought in by Dimier Frères & Cie, to be subsequently sold under the brand name Selezi, registered by Dimier Frères in 1912. The movement is working nicely and it is protected by an inner hinged cover… this inner cover has a small 1945 date scratched into it, probably a past service mark.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Birmingham 1919, with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison. Dennisons was a Birmingham based watch case maker, and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in good condition, a couple of minor marks to the side and a hint of unevenness to the back but nothing too serious at all.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition, original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a silver chain, hallmarked for 1900 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham chain maker Herbert Bushell. The chain measures 28cm long from the T-bar to the clasp. There is also a 1912 silver fob.

The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
