C19th London Made Walnut Twin Pedestal Cylinder Desk Superb Quality

Description

A magnificent cylinder desk in excellent condition made by S and H Jewell of Holborn London It retains its original key and lock and the internal mechanism which locks all the drawers when the cylinder is closed. The interior has a slideout writing surface with three sections inset with tooled leather all with original brass fittings The base has two pedestals each with three drawers faced with burr walnut and retaining their original knobs. The desk splits into three to make moving easier A few minor repairs and blemishes commensurate with 150 years of age
