This particular example combines its elegant serpentine shape, which of course adds to its elegance, with its excellent functional size and the added bonus feature of some really rather unusual herringbone type decoration on the stiles around the drawers.
The most brass handles are later replacements but fit the piece so well they they
...appear original without close inspection.
