A Large 18th Century George III English Mahogany Partners Desk.
This handsome and impressive pedestal desk is of large size and of good depth, veneered throughout in figured mahogany. There are three drawers in the frieze and three drawers in each pedestal on the front. At the back, the pedestals function as cupboards with a single panelled door on each side. All of the drawers retain their original gilt brass handles which are of a pattern known to have been used by Gillows. The mahogany used is of very high quality.
