Outstanding Gillows partners writing desk in superb original condition. The desk splits into 3 parts allowing for easy transportation to and around the home or office. It''s serpentine top section has 3 working drawers to the back and front and a tan tooled leather insert. The writing surface is marked (shown in pictures) and can be easily be replaced however I feel these only enhance the look of this superb desk. The two pedestals which the top sits on have 3 graduating drawers to the front and panelled cupboards to the back. All the drawers run smooth, are of dovetail construction and have decorative brass handles. Both ends have wonderful shaped panels with flame mahogany veneered inserts. Carvings of flowers, shells and acanthus leaves decorate the corners and the feet of the pedestals.
