The rectangular moulded top is inset with a gilt-tooled leather writing surface resting above an arrangement of drawers to one side and cupboards and drawers to the reverse, allowing the desk to be used comfortably from either side.Constructed in well-figured mahogany with a warm, mellow tone, the desk stands on a plinth base fitted with concealed castors for ease of movement. The drawers are finely dovetailed and retain their original turned mahogany knobs.
