Georgian Style Mahogany Partners Desk

Description

A superb Georgian style mahogany partners desk, combining traditional design, exceptional practicality and elegant period detailing. The desk is raised upon a substantial plinth base and features an impressive arrangement of eight ash-lined drawers, with the bottom right-hand drawer being of double depth, providing excellent storage for files and documents.

The drawers are fitted with attractive brass oval plate handles, while the reverse of the desk is equally well finished, featuring three faux drawers with matching brass handles, together with two useful working cupboards. The sides and drawer fronts are enhanced by shaped astragal mouldings, adding depth and character to the overall design.

The generous top is fitted with a quality tan leather writing surface, featuring hand-applied gilt and blind tooling, creating a beautifully traditional and luxurious workspace.

Presented in good condition, this substantial partners desk is ideal for a study, library or executive office. It separates into three sections for ease of transportation and installation, making this an impressive yet practical addition to any interior.
