Infused with a subtle sophistication, this Anatolian Ghiordes rug is a truly special piece. Delicate flower heads form the two minor borders, whilst a meandering vine motif drifts gracefully, as if stirred by a gentle breeze. The main field, framed by two panels on either side, displays a beautiful mihrab that is adorned with small blossoms, columns and even a hanging ornament that resembles a Chandelier. This somewhat royal scene is illuminated on a light olive-green ground, that captures the attention with its faint layers of Abrash. Overall, the rug balances simple colour choices with a strong structural refinement, making it a great piece of wall art to display in your home.
