Rare Wedgwood “Water Lily” Quatrefoil Pearlware Plate
A fine example printed overglaze in red with the “Darwin” Water Lily pattern. This is one of two striking variations of the design, the other produced in a circular shape.
Marked WEDGWOOD impressed to the base.

The red overglaze version of this pattern was first introduced in 1809; from 1828 the process was altered to underglaze printing.
